4d11d90880 Track down a few more functions that don't check for 0 args and use

8c497f05c4 We don't consistently check for args passed to functions that don't
take any args. In some cases we probably want to skip the check for
performance reasons, but in other cases where performance is unlikely
to be a factor, not throwing a warning on the wrong number of args passed
to a function is at best inconsistent, and at worst it could hide a bug.
So, add a few such checks. There are still lots of cases out there.

fe6f8712a4 - Get rid of ELS_*(), and use TSRMLS_*() instead.
- Move to the new ts_allocate_id() API
This patch is *bound* to break some files, as I must have had typos somewhere.
If you use any uncommon extension, please try to build it...

d0ec3df288 - Use CHECKUID_* #define's instead of cryptic numbers in php_checkuid()
- I did not test for validity of the actual php_checkuid() calls and there
- might be mistakes in the previous code.

7b4983c8f8 Mega-patch to get better resource information for modules.
* Fixed a bug in zend_rsrc_list_get_rsrc_type()
  * Switched register_list_destructors() to use
    zend_register_list_destructors_ex() instead
  * Updated all relevant modules to provide the resource type name
    to register_list_destructors() call
  * Updated var_dump() to output resource type name instead of number

@- Made resource type names visible, e.g. var_dump() and
@ get_resource_type() display "file" for file resources. (Andrei)

315f4f5658 @PHP 3 regression testing framework re-born (Stig)
Took the old PHP 3 regression testing framework and rewrote it in PHP.
Should work on both Windows and UNIX, however I have not tested it on
Windows. See tests/README for how to write tests. Added the PHP 3
tests and converted most of them.

83513d9580 Changed lots of PHP 3 licence headers to PHP 4, mainly in .h files.
Added a few RCS $Id$ tags.

# Note: I have avoided changing any .h files if the corresponding .c file
# had not already been changed as I am not sure if there are any legal
# issues here. So some extensions still have PHP 3 headers.

6614e8edb4 - I wrote a long msg but the commit didn't go through.
- So here is the short version:
- a) Start moving to binary opens in Windows
- b) Give checkuid_mode() a small face lift including the fopen-wrappers.c
- The mode to this function should at least be a #define but that is for
- another day. Anyway this whole stuff should be given more face lifts in
- the future.

b6e4841ec7 Determine first whether we will use ZTS mode or not.
This is important, because the system checks will yield different
results depending on whether POSIX threads are enabled or not.

We also use PTHREADS_CFLAGS only in ZTS mode now. Using these flags
in non-ZTS mode causes complete build failures on some platforms
(i.e. FreeBSD 2.2.x). This will cause harmless warnings on some
platforms (i.e. Solaris 2).
