526a3d9ce2 Always prefer user specified paths over the default /usr /usr/local. 
This may fix compilation problems with on systems with multiple copies of
the same library.

569bd005d2 Fixed bug #25070 (Don't forget to unlock session files on win32 before 
closing them).

Regions should be locked only briefly and should be unlocked before
closing a file or exiting the program. On Win32 locked files that are
closed without being explicitly unlocked will be unlocked only when "system
resources become avaliable".

array_udiff()
array_udiff_assoc()
array_diff_uassoc()
array_udiff_uassoc()
They work like array_diff() or array_diff_assoc() but callback function(s)
can be used to perform the comparisons. For example array_udiff_uassoc()
expects 2 callbacks are last 2 parameters one is used to compare the values
of the entries in the arrays the second to compare the keys.
Class methods are also valid callbacks. Even when the data that should be
used in the comparison is private or protected then a static method of a
class should be used (this behaviour can be seen in the regression test -
007.phpt).

6b567f80c7 Completely re-wrote the ZE2 OO stuff to do it the proper way. It is not 
considerably more stable, cleaner, and looks as if it works well :) This
probably is going to break any scripts which used it before, but oh well.

4f6874b3ff Added tidy_repair_string() & tidy_repair_file() that allow for quick repair 
of files & strings.
Modified tidy_parse_file() to accept include_path parameter.
Fixed a few bugs that may have allowed configurations directives loaded via
a file to carry over across requests.

4cd101abed Tidy Hijacked! Read all about it ;) 
* No more tidy resources, it's now persistent and internal. This helps speed
  quite a bit, since the tidy resource only needs to be initialized once.
* Replace common code with macros.
* Added necessary safe_mode & open_basedir checks when working with files.
* Added ini option to allow loading of config file on startup.
* Show current configuration in phpinfo();
* Coding Style Cleanup
* Added tidy_get_config(), returns an associated array with all configuration
  values.
* Added tidy_reset_config(), it restores tidy configuration to default values.
* Fixed a possible crash inside tidy_setopt().
* Added myself to the credits.

More changes to follow.

b871ebd8dc Fixed bug #25106 (Added more stringent checks on bzopen() mode). 
In some cases bz2 may fail to open the file, but stream wrappers will still
create an empty file, remove this file.
Change virtual_filepath to virtual_filepath_ex, which allows BZ2_bzfopen()
to work without having to resort to stream wrappers.

34821ed474 Under FreeBSD, statfs(2) requires both <sys/mount.h> _and_ <sys/param.h>. 
The autoconf check for <sys/mount.h> was failing because <sys/param.h>
wasn't being universally included.

This gets disk_total_space() and disk_free_space() working again under
FreeBSD.

90289924c0 Remove all vector based functions for the following reasons: 
- This solves alot of platform compatibility problems
- The possible security issue of allocating an incredibly large vector
pool is prevented
- They are of little to no benefit in a high level language
- 99% of all things done with these functions can be done using
sendto/recvfrom

f98251f307 Significant changes to layout of internal data structures

92b4013e8d Try to put an end to the endless number of call_user_function variants. 
zend_call_function() now takes a structure that should contain all of the
necessary information.  If further information is necessary in the future,
then we'll be able to add it without having to introduce a new function.

As for caching - the 2nd, optional argument is a struct that can hold all
of the information that's necessary to invoke the function, including its
handler, scope and object it operates on (if any).  Note that you may only
use a cache if the arguments you provide to zend_call_function() are
identical to the ones of the last call, except for the argument and return
value information.


The recently introduced fast_call_user_function() was removed

I fixed most of the places that used fast_call_user_function() to use caching
but there are still some that need to be fixed (XML and reflection)

f8bbafd604 ntroduce infrastructure for supplying information about arguments, 
including:

- Whether or not to pass by ref (replaces the old arg_types, with arg_info)
- Argument name (for future use, maybe introspection)
- Class/Interface name (for type hints)
- If a class/interface name is available, whether to allow a null instance

Both user and builtin functions share the same data structures.

To declare a builtin function that expects its first arg to be an instance
of class 'Person', its second argument as a regular arg, and its third by
reference, use:

ZEND_BEGIN_ARG_INFO(my_func_arg_info, 0)
    ZEND_ARG_OBJ_INFO(0, someone, Person, 1)
    ZEND_ARG_PASS_INFO(0)
    ZEND_ARG_PASS_INFO(1)
ZEND_END_ARG_INFO();

and use my_func_arg_info as the arg_info parameter to the ZEND_FE() family
of macros.

The first arg to each ZEND_ARG_*() macro is whether or not to pass by ref.

The boolean arg to ZEND_BEGIN_ARG_INFO() tells the engine whether to treat
the arguments for which there's no explicit information as pass by reference
or not.
The boolean argument to ZEND_ARG_OBJ_INFO() (4th arg) is whether or not to allownull values.

4d98e9ec97 Finalize the closing process of persistent streams. The current 
behavior/API is as follows:

1) To close a persistent use php_stream_pclose(), it will close the stream
and remove it from the persistent list.

2) Inside PHP code only explicit fclose() will close persistent streams,
all other actions such as unset() or assigning a value to stream handle
will not.

3) Regular streams can still be closed by either fclose(), unset() or an
assignment of a value to the stream handler.

e5d492a3df New smart connect/shutdown for persistent connections. 
Behavior for old libs/servers is "BEGIN;ROLLBACK;" in request shutdown.
For new libs a "RESET ALL;" is done in connect and "ROLLBACK;" is only done
where appropriate.

4d2229d6a3 Bug 24760 fix, in which the port number when non-default is not handled 
correctly and ends up as the default port. This seems to be caused by
some buffer overflow where the port number is assign zero, even though
it it is not assigned to the port variable.
FIx was reported and a fix proposed by "chuck+php at 2003 dot snew dot com"

402edee1a6 gztell() is not necessary, the return value of gzseek() represents the 
new position. With zlib 1.1.4 gztell() alse returns 0 when working
on non-zlib files (test ext/zlib/tests/gzreadgzwriteplain.phpt).

5fcff2d872 * Fixed bug #24535 (Crash when retrieving data from unbuffered result after 
the original connection has been changed).
* Fixed a crash when trying to fetch an unbuffered result after
mysql_close() has been called.
* Added a check to make sure no unbuffered results are inside the buffer
when calling functions that internally execute a query. Affected functions
are: mysql_select_db(), mysql_list_dbs(), mysql_list_tables(),
mysql_list_processes(), mysql_list_fields(), mysql_stat() and mysql_ping().
* Do not re-select a database if the database to be selected is the same.

a8d156177f Adding an SNMP GETNEXT. 
This is a basic SNMP operation that retrieves the next value as the
one provided to the command.
NOTE: snmpgetnext does not follow the official naming convetions of
functions, but now it is equal to it version 1 equivalents snmpget
and snmpset.
I also would like to reserve the snmp_getnext for a function to
which a session can be given instead of the multiple values to
create the session internally. (Work in progress).

6dd04c368e (RE-)Applying the contributed patch of Johan Hanne to the main tree. 
The patch enables control on the way the values are returned
into the PHP script, instaed of always strings. Also the
type of the value is now returned when configured to do so.
This enables better management scripts to do more automatic
processing and value calculations.
(By default the values are returned as strings, as was before)

add domDocument properties for parsing options:
validateOnParse, resolveExternals, preserveWhiteSpace, substituteEntities
implement custom parsing to avoid use of globals
implement local errors while parsing
errors displayed until error objects implemented
